This tool aimed to make an easy way to peel ginger’s nooks and crannies, while collecting your grated ginger easily. The grater can also be used over a pan or bowl, to quickly add ginger while cooking.

Sketches + Prototype
Sketching and prototypes explored variations on how to peel and grate ginger in an ergonomic and effective way. Since ginger comes in all sizes and forms, having a tool that could peel around the variety of edges was important to explore. As well as making sure the grater was the right size and shape to grate easily.
